FRANCE superstar Franck Ribery went from zero to hero – after being hailed by a rapper for saving his mum from the coronavirus.
The Fiorentina winger had been portrayed as “stupid and illiterate” by French TV star Karine Le Marchand earlier this week.

But after rescuing the mother of his lifelong pal, French rap star Kofs, he was hailed a hero.
Ribery flew Kofs’ mum by private jet from her home in Algeria to Marseille, so she could have medical treatment after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
He also paid for the treatment.
Kofs posted a photo of him and Ribery on his Instagram account.
It was accompanied by the poignant message, which we have translated from French.
It read: “Family, humble and generous people are often the most discreet. It is not my habit but I would like to thank my brother, my blood, @franckribery7, for having organised the repatriation of my mother whom I love so much from Algiers to Marseille by providing her with a private plane.
“I wanted to do it publicly so that you know the golden man behind the great footballer … thank you again my brother.”
Ex-Bayern Munich star Ribery was mocked online by French TV star Le Marchand, who portrayed him as stupid and illiterate.
He is allegedly now thinking of suing her.
But Ribery’s actions to help his friend’s mother will do wonders for his reputation, which has not exactly been whiter than white over the years.

In 2016 he stood trial for having sex with an underage prostitute.
Marseille-based rapper Kofs and Ribery are long-time friends, with the 2013 Champions League winner spending two years at Marseille before moving to Munich in 2007.
Ribery, 37, has also given €50,000 (£44,000) to hospitals in Florence in Italy, where he now lives with his family after his 2019 transfer from the German giants.
