SOUTHAMPTON ace Moussa Djenepo has become a hero in his home town by donating health kits worth thousands to aid their fight against coronavirus.
The Mali winger, 21, arrived at St Mary’s for £14million from Belgian outfit Standard Liege last summer.

The 21-year-old previously donated three million francs to Mali’s health ministry.
The total of both sums are worth around £7,000 – which is seen as a staggering amount in the poverty-hit country.
Djenepo’s dad Bayon handed over the kits in a recent ceremony.
He said: “Moussa owes everything to Mopti. He wanted to support his home town at a time when the Covid-19 virus is shaking the world.
“His gesture is meant to support the Mali government’s efforts against the pandemic.
“Last week his aid was destined for the health ministry, and now this is for his birthplace.”
A local mosques spokesman added: “It is a noble gesture. Our son could inspire others to do the same via the media.
“It is great that a native of Mopti who lives abroad can think of his country and his home town.”
Djenepo’s contract at Southampton expires in 2023.
He has made 20 appearances and scored two goals before the season was KO’d indefinitely by the killer virus.
