Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez in brutal hill sprints as pair train together while in coronavirus lockdown

CRISTIANO RONALDO and Georgina Rodriguez showed that glutes don’t build themselves with a set of painful hill sprints on social media.

Football’s shutdown during the coronavirus pandemic has sent the Juventus ace and his family back to his home in Madeira, where he remains in full training mode.

And a clip posted on Instagram this Wednesday showed Ronaldo’s partner Georgina jog up and down the incline before the player himself had a go.

Needless to say, the 35-year-old energetically launched up the slope with a trademark sprint burst.

After the video featuring a humble driveway went online to Ronaldo’s 211million followers, the global superstar was lauded for finding novel ways of keeping fit.

Instagram user Andrew wrote: “Keep grinding guys, supporting each other is the most important thing right now.”

And one fan joked: “Run Cristiano Run!!!”

With Serie A suspended and not due to return anytime soon, the Portugal international is spending time in a new £7million mansion built in his home city of Funchal.

Among the features to keep Ronaldo, partner Georgina and his four kids amused are a sea view, two Olympic-sized swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a football pitch.

Staying in tip-top shape for the eventual football season restart is high on the player’s mind.

Recently he helped launch Nike’s Living Room Cup, a challenge to see how many ab crunches people can do in 45 seconds.

After Ronaldo posted a strong 142 reps in the allotted time, international teammate Bruno Fernandes fell behind with a mere 117 – earning a cheeky jibe from the Juve forward.

Blaise Matuidi and South African sprinter Caster Semenya have nonetheless managed to beat the example set by Ronaldo.

Often joining Ronaldo on his workouts has been model Georgina but she took up a new duty earlier in the month when becoming her partner’s hairdresser.

Like many others stuck in their homes during the pandemic lockdown, Ronaldo opted for the shaved head look – much to the amusement of his beloved.
