HARRY KANE has drppped a heavy hint that Tottenham must improve if they want to stop him moving to a major rival.
Several clubs will be more than happy to break the bank if the star striker pushes for an exit.
Already, Kane admits Spurs must do more to keep him with the team out of all cups and eighth in the table following a poor run of form.
He stated earlier in the week: “I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs.
“But I’ve always said, if I don’t feel we’re going in the right direction then I’m not someone who will just stay for the sake of it.
“I’m an ambitious player, I want to become one of the best players.”
Of course, the 26-year-old has never won a major title in North London, a huge factor in determining his future.
So who could Kane leave for? Here, SunSport names five clubs with the cash and the trophies to tempt the England ace.
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola has his hands full with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus at the Etihad, but what if one was to leave?
Naturally, 31-year-old Aguero is the more likely to need replacing with the Argentine out of contract in 2021.
The forward has also spoken previously about his desire to return to old side Independiente and that could move into focus next year.
He remarked last May: “I always try. I know what the Independiente fans want, but I have a contract with City, and I try to focus on these two years I’ve got left. Then I’ll see what I’ll do but of course, Independiente is my priority.”
However there are more factors to consider, such as the Champions League ban that could shake up City if their appeal falls.
And Guardiola’s future may also have an impact on a potential bid for Kane with old Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino currently favourite to eventually take over from the Spaniard.
Real Madrid
Los Blancos may have splashed out £265million last summer but there is little chance of seeing their aggressive spending abate in the coming transfer window.
If Zinedine Zidane cannot land the Champions League or if Barcelona secure LaLiga amidst their own troubles, the Frenchman is reportedly heading for the exit door.
Once again, the Poch factor could roll into view but either way securing a big-name striker to finally replace Cristiano Ronaldo is surely top of their priorities.
Robert Lewandowski has been strongly linked in the past and, after the Pole, there are very few men who can boast the scoring abilities of Kane.
Bayern Munich
Speaking of Lewandowski, his departure from Bavaria would draw in significant funds for Bayern to splash on a new forward to lead their line.
Cezary Kucharski, the 31-year-old’s former agent, has spoken of the opportunity to sign for Real arising last summer.
He remarked that “the only thing that counted for Robert was the Spanish sun, and Real Madrid” although the move never came off.
Die Roten will put up a fierce defence of any bids for their star man and so, once again, Pochettino potentially landing at the end of the season for the start of a new long-term project may be another enticement for Kane.
Manchester United
Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer promise Kane the trophies he craves with a switch to Old Trafford?
Currently, no, to be frank. But ambition can be measured in more ways than one and United could attempt to prove their seriousness by launching a mega raid on the coming transfer market.
Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and a centre-back such as Kalidou Koulibaly are high on the Red Devils’ agenda, making Kane the icing on the cake.
Essential to landing the Spurs man is surely how the two clubs fare in their European qualification bids, with a spot for United in the Champions League potentially massive if they want to pull off this deal.
Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp will be acutely aware that there must be life after Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
And what better way to replace one of them than with Harry Kane?
Firmino’s role as the central force in the front three looks to be under the most threat, especially given the rumours linking Timo Werner with a move to Anfield.
Should Klopp desire a statement signing to offer something very different to Firmino, aka a penalty box finisher, the Spurs forward is one of the best going.
