SunSport understands Arsenal have decided against using the new strip because they are still fighting for the title – even if the Premier League rules had allowed them to.

Mikel Arteta’s side go into Sunday’s match two points behind Manchester City.

That means they need to beat Everton and for City to drop points against West Ham on the final day.

Like Arsenal, the Sky Blues will not wear their new home kit at the weekend.

Man City debuted this season’s home kit on the last day of the 2022-23 campaign, but by that point they had already secured the league title.

Premier League rules state that any side mathematically able to win the title on the final day must wear their kit from that season.

This weekend marks the 10th time the title is decided on the final day.

Arsenal revealed a major change to their new kit when it was released this week.
