MANCHESTER UNITED fans reckon Ethan Wheatley should “start over Rasmus Hojlund” after scoring against Chelsea in the Under-18 Premier League National final.
Wheatley took a leaf out of Cole Palmer’s books as he celebrated his ice-cold finish with the Blues star’s trademark arm gesture on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old striker opened the scoring in United’s 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge with a clever finish in the first half.
Wheatley, who has come off the bench for Erik ten Hag in several recent senior games, celebrated with the “cold” gesture – just like England hopeful Palmer.
Chelsea battled back at the start of the second, with new senior debutant Josh Acheampong getting on the score sheet.
But United regained the lead in the 55th minute through Ethan Williams.

And the Young Devils held on to secure victory, handing them the trophy.
Big things are expected of Wheatley, who has come off the bench against Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
He may be given the night off for Wednesday’s game with Newcastle.
But with United travelling to Brighton on Sunday for the final game of the season, some fans reckon Wheatley should be handed a deserved start.

That’s with current No1 striker Hojlund netting just once in his last ten outings.
The Dane looks low on confidence after hitting just 14 goals in all competitions.
And some reckon the time is right for Wheatley to get the nod up top.
One said: “Start him ahead of Hojlund.”
Another declared: “Ten Hag really needs to bring in this guy.”
One noted: “Palmer cele in their home ground is crazy.”
Another added: “This guy is a baller.”
