Man Utd fans say ‘please delete this, you are embarrassing him’ after ‘bizarre’ Rashford video during pre-season defeat

MANCHESTER UNITED fans slammed their own club for posting a bizarre video of Marcus Rashford during a pre-season friendly defeat to Rosenborg.

Erik ten Hag’s men kicked their summer off in disappointing fashion as Noah Emmanuel Jean Holm scored a 93rd-minute winner to hand Rosenborg a 1-0 victory in Norway.

Man Utd supporters pinpointed keeper Radek Vitek as a positive to take from the game.

But the Red Devils’ social media account chose to post a moment involving Rashford that left fans baffled.

The clip showsed the English forward knocking it beyond a Rosenborg player, before a slide tackle from a defender puts the ball out of play.

Alongside the video, Man Utd said: “Nicely done, @MarcusRashford
👌.”

While another added: “Please delete this you are embarrassing him.”

A third replied: “He has gone past one player and lost the ball. The standards have never been lower at the football club as they currently are. Sad to see.”

A fourth responded: “What’s admin seeing that I’m not? Basic skill that’s expected from a professional footballer?”
