LEICESTER want to buy Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson from Brighton in a bid to beat the drop.
The Foxes think the target man, 20, would be ideal for their side as they battle for Prem survival.
Albion may send Ferguson out on loan but Leicester cannot do that as they already have Facundo Buonanotte on a temporary spell from them.
City do not have a spot for a second Prem loanee unless they move out Odsonne Edouard, who has struggled since arriving from Crystal Palace.
So Steve Cooper’s side will have to chase Ferguson on a full-time basis and that makes it doubly hard for them to succeed.
Ferguson fancies a Prem loan but it may be hard for him to find.
