CHELSEA continue their US pre-season tour with a thrilling fixture against Club America – and they’ll be hoping for a much better result than last time out.
Enzo Maresca’s Blues got hammered by Scottish giants Celtic on Saturday.
Christopher Nkunku’s penalty was the only positive in Chelsea’s performance as they lost 4-1 in the Notre Dame Stadium.
And it also means that the Blues are yet to pick up a win overseas this summer after being held to a 2-2 draw by Wrexham the match before.
But they’ll be expected to bounce back against a Club America who they have beaten in recent years.
When is Chelsea vs Club America?
- Chelsea’s next US pre-season tour match against Club America will take place on Thursday, August 1.
- It is scheduled to kick off early hours of the morning – 12:30am BST – 7:30pm local time.
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is the allocated arena for this encounter and it can host approximately 71,000 fans.
- Goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount were enough to seal a 2-1 win against Club America when the sides last met in a 2022 friendly.
