ROY KEANE has lifted the lid on his hatred for handshakes and hugs, with Gary Neville handing him a bizarre nickname for his troubles.
The Manchester United legend was speaking on Stick to Football: The Overlap Special, brought to you by Sky Bet, alongside Neville, Ian Wright and Jill Scott.
On the podcast, the quartet spoke about their biggest pet hates in a Room 101-style discussion.
Neville strangely revealed his dislike for barbecues, Avanti Trains, shoehorns and WhatsApp message groups, before Keane added his own ones into the mix.
The Irishman, 52, called for the activity of shaking hands to be locked away.
This conversation led to Wright recalling a funny interaction between Keane and a waiter at a restaurant days prior.

Wright explained how Keane had gone to wash his hands before the waiter then shook his hand to say hello, prompting Keane to go and wash them again.
The Arsenal icon asked why Keane didn’t simply do a fist bump with them, with Keane being labelled “awkward” by Scott after saying he didn’t like fist bumps.
Even hugs were too much for the former tough-tackling midfielder as he declared they should be reserved for loved ones, such as his wife, children, grandchildren and his dog.
His prickly responses then saw Neville reveal the bizarre nickname that Keane apparently calls himself.

“It’s hedgehog. He calls himself hedgehog.”
However, Keane hit back at the suggestion by saying it wasn’t his nickname while Neville enjoyed a chuckle at the remark.
Moving on, Keane then explored his dislike for rich people with flash cars who park wherever they want, and called for them to have their tyres slashed as a consequence.
He said: “People that have a few quid and just park wherever they want – double yellow lines or disabled bays – and just take the ticket off because they can pay that.
