Gareth Southgate brutally trolled with picture of ‘how he’d run Domino’s’ after England’s dire draw with Denmark

GARETH SOUTHGATE’S managerial career hit a new low as he was brutally trolled by pizza giant Domino’s.

The England boss was set upon by pundits after his side’s dreadful 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday.

Fans were left upset by the Three Lions’ shoddy performance, which saw them set up deep without any clear style going forward.

England must now ensure they do not lose to Slovenia in the final group game on Tuesday if they want to reach the knockouts.

And followers are predicting whether Southgate will finally ring the changes after naming an unchanged line-up from the 1-0 opening win over Serbia.

The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Phil Foden could be at risk after struggling in new positions.

But Domino’s appear to believe things will not change regardless of who lines up against Slovenia.

The firm’s X account posted a hilarious picture of an out-of-control Domino’s kitchen in complete disarray.

One employee could be seen sprawled on the floor as tons of pizzas flew out of an oven.

While a huge fire engulfed the other end of the cooker in chaotic scenes.

And Domino’s could not resist using the picture as a dig against Southgate, who famously appeared in an advert for rivals Pizza Hut after he missed a crucial penalty for England against Germany in the Euro 1996 semi-finals.

The caption for the picture read: “If Southgate ran a Domino’s.”

Jack Wilshere: Southgate must be brave with Rice

By Jack Wilshere

GARETH SOUTHGATE should be brave and play Declan Rice as our sole holding midfielder.

But if England manager Southgate doesn’t want to do that — and he probably doesn’t — then he needs to give Rice the chance to play more like he does for Arsenal.

Let’s be absolutely clear here. Rice was so important for us again during that first half against Denmark.

The fact that he had a difficult second 45 minutes showed how much England were struggling.

Rice himself would hold his hands up and say he gave away the ball too often.

But what I took overall from his performance is that he needs more help in the engine room.

Read here how Jack Wilshere would resolve the Declan Rice dilemma.

Fans certainly found the pizza-related banter hilarious.

Begging for a slice of the action, one said: “This page admin deserves a raise.”

Another declared: “Not true, there’s way too much final product here.”

One noted: “If he ran a Domino’s, they’d become Pizza Hut.”

Another added: “They’d give out one pizza then park themselves at the fire exit and refuse to take more orders.”
