ENGLAND fans were quick to spot Gareth Southgate’s tactical tweak in the Euro 2024 final.
Southgate started the tournament with a 4-2-3-1 formation but switched for the quarter-finals against Switzerland.

ENGLAND face their destiny against Spain TONIGHT – hoping to end 58 years of hurt in the Euro 2024 final.
In the absence of the suspended Marc Guehi, England had a three-man central defence in a 3-4-3 formation.
Bukayo Saka moved back to right wing-back with Kieran Trippier on his unfavoured left.
But Trippier was benched for the final with Manchester United’s Luke Shaw given a first start of the tournament.
Shaw was expected to line up at left-wing back with Saka on the right.

That would have allowed for Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham to accompany striker Harry Kane.
But it appeared that England instead started with a back four, with Bellingham out on the left with Foden central in a 4-2-3-1.
Fans were quick to notice as one said: “Bellingham on the left wing?”
Another added: “Luke Shaw + Bellingham on that left flank looks like a dream duo.”
