It came after Santa was booed by fans in December

Following the game, the Hoops were waiting on the pitch at Celtic Park to lift the trophy in front of the home support.

However, to everyone’s amazement, the trophy was walked on to the pitch by a man dressed as Father Christmas.

Reacting to the jolly surprise in May, one fan said: “WTF?”

A second said: “This is phenomenal 😂”

Another said: “Imagine trying to explain this to people outside Scottish football…”

The explanation for his appearance can actually be traced back to when Celtic were 2-0 down to Hearts at half-time back in December.

Santa had come on the pitch back in the winter to do a prize draw.

But fans were not feeling merry at the time and proceeded to heavily boo Santa.
