Ex-Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo brutally trolled by Ryanair as stunned fans say ‘let ‘em cook’

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been brutally trolled by Ryanair for his claims about the Saudi Pro League.

The Al-Nassr forward compared the league to France’s Ligue 1 at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Friday.

However, he has since come under fire for his comments, in which he argued the Saudi top flight is superior.

Speaking at the event, Ronaldo claimed: “Saudi League is not worse than Ligue 1.

“Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue 1, I can say that after one year spent there. We are better than the French league already now.”

Ryanair were quick to respond on X, formerly Twitter, though.

Reacting to Ronaldo’s comments, the airline wrote: “Finally, someone funnier than us.”

Fans were left in hysterics by the reply, with one commenting: “Someone come take Ronaldo out the oven, he’s ready. Ryanair cooked.”

Another added: “That’s crazy.”

A third supporter also wrote: “Never thought I’d see the day.”

Meanwhile, one more also said: “This is wild. Let them cook.”

Ronaldo had earlier hailed himself the world’s best goal scorer at the event and praised Manchester City’s treble triumph.

However, he missed out on being named best men’s player to City striker Erling Haaland.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner did take home three other awards, though, including fan’s favourite player.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January last year and has since scored 34 goals in 34 Saudi Pro League appearances, along with 11 assists.

20 of those goals have come so far this season, with the 38-year-old the current top scorer ahead of ex-Fulham man Aleksandar Mitrovic.
