Richards, who also works for Sky Sports, and the Premier League’s all-time top scorer Alan Shearer, 53, have also become part of the line-up on new hit podcast ‘The Rest Is Football’, which is hosted by Lineker.

The trio have provided plenty of laugh-out-loud moments since it was launched last August.

Newcastle legend Shearer recently revealed how he once caught a mystery couple getting kinky on a piano in his hotel room the night before a game.

However, on the latest episode it was Lineker that was accused of being saucy by his 35-year-old pal Richards.

Having returned from an advert break, Lineker, 63, said it was time to “bash on” and get to some questions from the listeners.

He started reading one from Sam, saying: “If you could have one ability…”

At that point all listeners could hear was Richards laughing uncontrollably, before he interrupted and said: “Gary, you’ve got to do that again.

“You’ve said ‘warm-up’, ‘stiff’ and now ‘bash on’.”

Shearer then joined Richards in the hysterics as Lineker innocently asked: “What’s wrong with bash on?”

Shearer joked: “When you get into your 70s you’ll take that by the way!”

The flustered Lineker responded by asking Richards: “What goes through your mind Micah?

“Everything to you is a sexual innuendo.”

“You’re saying it, not me,” replied Richards.

Regaining the composure that made him such a legendary goalscorer for club and country, Lineker continued to move on with the show.

But not before adding: “I’m going to stick with bash on though.”
