PETERBOROUGH have announced the signing of Jed Steer for the second time this month.
The goalkeeper, 31, was signed on a short-term deal earlier in the January transfer window.
Posh have now confirmed his signing AGAIN after he penned a deal until the end of the season.
Steer went unbeaten in four appearances before his initial contract expired earlier this week.
After missing Tuesday’s EFL Trophy quarter-final win over Wimbledon, he is now back at London Road.
Speaking to the club website, he explained: “I am happy to be back, and I am here to help the club in an exciting part of the season with the team in a good position in the league and also in the semi-finals of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

“It was a strange feeling watching the scores come through on Tuesday evening, so when I heard that there was something to be done, it was obviously an opportunity that I wanted to take.
“I was gutted to leave in the first place, but I am here now, and I can’t wait to get back out there at training.”
Supporters were left baffled by the announcement, though, with one commenting: “My head is spinning, what do you mean he’s back?”
Another added: “Only we do a transfer tease and bring back a player that ‘left’ just a few days before.”

A third fan also wrote: “Third signing of the window and it’s the same as the first.”
Meanwhile, one more joked: “We missed him for all of one day.”
Steer had been without a club since the summer before his initial move to Peterborough.
The 31-year-old was released by Aston Villa at the end of last season.
A former England youth international, he made three Premier League appearances for Villa.
