Arsenal vs Luton ‘unwatchable’ blast fans as TNT Sports make major change to TV camera angles for crucial game

FANS were left fuming after TNT Sports introduced an unusual camera angle for Arsenal vs Luton.

The broadcaster frequently cut to a camera that keeps up with the ball – with the entire camera tracking the match from byline-to-byline.

Many fans did not like the change, which made for strange viewing at times – particularly when TNT Sports cut back to the standard view.

Supporters quickly made their feelings known on social media as they slammed TNT Sports for the change.

One reacted saying: “Unwatchable camera angle.”

It has been dubbed ‘Game Mode’ due to its similarity to the angle seen when playing football video games.

But when used by Sky viewers have had the option to watch the game as normal, or with the new camera angle.

TNT Sports are the first broadcaster to switch between the two modes in the same broadcast.

Sky Sports’ director of production, Phil Marshall, said about introducing the new angle to his channel: “We’re very excited to see what ‘Game Mode’ can bring to the overall viewing experience for fans and believe it has great potential when it comes to in-game innovation.”

And Premier League head of media operations and innovation, Rachael Nightingale said: “The Premier League is always looking for ways to enhance the broadcast experience for fans around the world.

“We hope ‘Game Mode’ will provide a new and exciting way to enjoy the action at home.”

Any Arsenal fans complaining were at least consoled by the 2-0 win they witnessed for their team.
