TAKEHIRO TOMIYASU will miss Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the USA with a knee problem.
The Gunners have confirmed the Japanese international is set to remain in London.
Tomiyasu will receive treatment on the injury whilst his team-mates head Stateside.
Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney also misses out due to a hamstring injury after returning from his loan spell at Real Sociedad.
Fans have been left fuming with the news, though, even calling for Tomiyasu to be sold.
Reacting on social media, one supporter wrote: “Are those two just permanently injured?”

Another added: “Time to sell him, he can’t stay fit.”
A third fan also wrote: “This guy is made of glass.”
Tomiyasu suffered from a pair of calf injuries last season, causing him to miss 13 matches for Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has had several injury woes since signing from Bologna in 2021.

However, he penned a new contract through to 2026 with the option of a further year back in March.
As for Tierney, he played 26 times on loan at Real Sociedad last term before featuring for Scotland at Euro 2024.
The full-back has also had persistent injury issues in recent season both before and after undergoing knee surgery in 2022.
Arsenal have named a 26-man squad for their USA tour, where they will play friendlies against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta included a mix of youth and experience, with Martin Odegaard, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus and Jurrien Timber all featuring.
Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel will join the squad on July 25 following their international exploits this summer.
Meanwhile, Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, David Raya and William Saliba will return to pre-season training after the tour after reaching the latter stages of Euro 2024.
