Arsenal fans erupt in celebration after West Ham ‘equaliser’ against Man City – before realising they’ve been duped

ARSENAL fans were tricked into celebrating a West Ham “equaliser” during the final day of the Premier League season.

Fans inside the Emirates Stadium began celebrating what they thought was a Hammers goal against Manchester City.

An equaliser would open the door for the Gunners to win the title if they beat Everton.

City had raced into an early lead thanks to Phil Foden’s second minute strike, before he doubled their lead 16 minutes later.

Arsenal supporters were left looking dejected in North London after learning City were in front.

It got even worse moments later as Everton took a shock lead, only for Takehiro Tomiyasu to equalise shortly after.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus reduced City’s lead just before half-time with a stunning overhead kick.

Fans at the Emirates Stadium suddenly celebrated again moments later after thinking West Ham had levelled the match at 2-2.

However, the celebrations soon calmed down once supporters realised they had been duped.
