A RUSSIAN MMA promotion has introduced a bizarre new sport involving a phone booth.
Footage of a recent bout shows two fighters inside a traditional red phone booth as they square up.
The pair can be seen frantically throwing punches in the tight space as the fight starts.
Punches continue to be swung across the phone booth before one of the competitors slumps to the floor.
An official immediately steps in to stop the fight by reaching through the window.
The referee can be seen checking on the fighter after ending the bout before helping them to their feet and out of the phone booth.

It is the latest instance of a bizarre twist on combat sports following a crazy 2v2 brawl earlier this year.
The fight went viral on social media after fans were left stunned as four mixed-martial artists faced off inside the octagon.
All four fighters squared up for a single 10-minute round as part of the Dogfight Wild Tournament 2nd Impact in Spain back in February.
The event also included a 3v1 contest as well as a No Rules bout in addition to the 2v2 brawl.
