Jake Paul admits his mum is terrified of Mike Tyson fight after watching clips of boxing legend in action

JAKE PAUL revealed his mum Pam is terrified of his fight with Mike Tyson – after scaring herself watching the feared fighter in action.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer faces the boxing great on November 15 in Texas in a controversial clash scrutinised for age difference.

But Tyson has been attempting to miraculously roll back the clock and has been showing glimpses of his prime in short training clips.

The frightening footage of the 58-year-old icon on the pads has left Paul’s mum concerned – but she will be at the fight alongside Paul’s girlfriend Jutta Leerdam.

Paul, 27, said: “They will definitely be there.

“But my mum is very scared actually. She keeps on asking me if I’m ready, asking my team if I’m if I’m ready and she’s not liking this one.

“Mike just looks scary and big… his Instagram videos look crazy. So she’s like watching all of that and just not liking it.”

Tyson was initially forced to pull out of the original July 20 date after suffering from a stomach ulcer.

It only added more critics to the already contentious fight for the ages – but Paul came out swinging in defence of it.

He said: “I don’t get it at all. But I also don’t understand people in general, like people are dumber than a box of rocks.

“And the fact that Netflix is involved, the fact that Mike Tyson wants it to be a pro fight. If Uncle Mike is down then so am I.”

Paul hosted the Professional Fighters League press conference ahead of Francis Ngannou’s MMA return fight against Renan Ferreira on October 19.

And Ngannou, 37, who was coached by Tyson in the past, backed his older mentor to beat the brakes of Paul, who is three decades his junior.

But Paul himself admitted: “I love it. It’s not gonna be an easy fight. I think the first four rounds are gonna be very difficult.

“And if I can weather the storm of Mike Tyson, the baddest man, hardest puncher on the planet, then I believe I can pull ahead in the later rounds and be able to stop him actually.

“But, Francis is not wrong. I often times get scared of that one punch and I have to be alert the whole time.”
