AN MMA fighter is facing a lifetime ban from boxing for an illegal head kick that knocked out his opponent.
Undefeated Russian fighter Idris Abdurashidov made his boxing debut against Bagher Faraji in Phuket, Thailand on Saturday.
Abdurashidov, 21, struggled in the early stages of the fight against the Iranian.
Faraji was heading for a points win as the fight entered into the fourth and final round at the Ali Boxing Club.
However, with just seconds left, the Russian hit him with a devasting kick to the head, which was an illegal move.
As a result, Abdurashidov was disqualified from the fight but still boasted about it on social media.
