TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR could be subject of an imminent BLOCKBUSTER £3bn takeover.
The Financial Times have reported that they are in contact with “two people with direct knowledge” of billionaire Jahm Najafi’s bid.
And now he is just “weeks away from formally approaching Spurs owner Joe Lewis and the football club’s chair Daniel Levy” with his offer.
Who is Jahm Najafi?
Jahm Najafi is an Iranian-American businessman and multi-sport chairman who is the chair of MSP Sports Capital.
He owns the Najafi Companies – which is a Phoenix-based equity firm and his primary source of income.
Najafi also partially owns the Phoenix Suns NBA team and is vice-chairman of McLaren’s F1 team.
He graduated with a Masters in Business Economics from Harvard University.
The 60-year-old has said that supporting the Phoenix Suns helped him learn English.
His family moved to Phoenix when he was 12 years old after they knew someone there.
Najafi said: “Suns were playing against the Celtics and, of course, everybody knows about Gar Heard’s shot heard around the world.

Najafi has three children with wife Cheryl.
What is Jahm Najafi’s net worth?
Jahm Najafi has a net worth of £2.9bn, according to reports.
Najafi’s Tottenham bid will be structured so that 70 per cent of the purchase price will be put forward by MSP and the partners recruited.
And the other 30 per cent will be made up by backers from the Middle East, which are allegedly mainly based in Abu Dhabi.
