WAYNE ROONEY’s son Kai believes he will be playing for Manchester United in 10 years time.
The 13-year-old, who joined United’s academy in 2020, hopes to follow in his dad’s footsteps by becoming a club icon.
He told SY Football: “In ten years hopefully I will be playing in the Premier League for Man United… that’s where I see myself but I’ve got to make it happen with the hard work and everything behind the scenes.”
Kai also revealed that his dad is his biggest inspiration, adding: “I know it’s a a bit boring but probably my dad as he’s helped me though some of the hard times and taught me a lot about the game, even just being in the car listening to him as a manager talking to all the players.”
Rooney joined Man Utd in 2004 and spent 13 years at Old Trafford.
He is still the club’s all-time top scorer, having scored 253 goals in 559 appearances.
