ROMEO LAVIA has suffered an injury in training – before even playing for Chelsea.
The new Blues midfielder joined the club from Southampton for £58million this summer after they hijacked his transfer to Liverpool.
But he is yet to step on to the field and make his debut for his new side.
And now the Belgian star could potentially spend a period on the sidelines.
That is because he has damaged his ankle, hurting himself during a session at Cobham this morning.
It is understood Lavia was forced to quit training and return inside to be treated.

And there are fears he could have torn a muscle in the joint.
Lavia, 19, was not called up by Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco for the current international break.
The Red Devils play Azerbaijan and Estonia in their Euro 2024 qualifiers this week.
That meant Lavia stayed put with Chelsea to continue training with his new team-mates.

But now his boss Mauricio Pochettino will be sweating on the fitness of the former Manchester City youngster, with further assessments due tomorrow.
Meanwhile, fans are fuming at the latest injury – with Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Christopher Nkunku, Carney Chukwuemeka, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Marcus Bettinelli and new captain Reece James all currently crocked and unavailable.
One supporter raged: “We are well and truly cursed! Romeo Lavia gets injured in training.”
Another moaned: “What is going on at our club?”
A third complained: “It’s a Chelsea thing. Welcome to Chelsea Romeo Lavia. A club where player injury is a must.”
And a final user labelled it “ridiculous”.
Like Lesley Ugochukwu, Lavia was signed to bolster the midfield options, providing strong defensive cover.
That would in turn give licence for £106m man Enzo Fernandez and the £115m Moises Caicedo to shine.
However, since completing his switch to West London on August 18, Lavia has not even been involved in a matchday squad.
