FORMER Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan announced Estonia’s Eurovision results on Saturday night.
The ex-Reds centre-back, 37, who is currently without a club, addressed the city of Liverpool in a warm way as he paid homage to the hosts of the 2023 edition.
Coming onto the screen, Klavan said: “Hello amazing city of Liverpool. Wow, what a show. What a boss night.
“All the Estonians are sending their strength to people of Ukraine. You’ll never walk alone.”
Klavan’s You’ll Never Walk Alone reference came after the song was performed on stage in a touching Eurovision moment.
Sweden won the contest – which was being held in the UK for the first time since 1998.

Klavan was one of Jurgen Klopp’s first signings in 2016 when he joined from Augsburg.
The defender was bought for £4.2million, making him the most expensive Estonian footballer ever.
He spent two years at Liverpool and amassed a total of two goals in 53 appearances.
Klavan couldn’t establish himself as a starter at the Reds but still made Premier League history.

Klavan left soon after and joined Cagliari before returning to his country in 2021.
He played for Paide Linnameeskond until his departure last year.
He has also racked up an impressive 129 caps for the Estonia national team.
Away from the football pitch, he competed in his home country’s version of “Dancing with the Stars” last year.
