MANCHESTER UNITED prospect Kobbie Mainoo has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 17-year-old made his first team debut this season in the Carabao Cup win over Charlton Athletic.
The youngster also got a 17-minute run out in the Red Devils’ FA Cup win over Reading in January.
Mainoo has come close to making his Premier League debut for the club as well as he has been named in the matchday squad on six occasions.
He has now been rewarded for his progress and breaking into the first team with a new contract.
Mainoo has been at the Red Devils since he was nine years old and has played at the club’s under-18 and under-21 sides.

He has also represented England at the under-18 level.
Due to his potential, Mainoo is now a regular fixture in first-team training sessions.
After signing his contract he wrote on Instagram: “Amazing few weeks for me and my family.
“Really pleased to sign a long-term contract with this special club. Continuing to work hard and taking everything step by step.”

After making his debut for the club he said: “It’s an unbelievable feeling.
“I’ve been at this club all my life and it’s all led to tonight. To have my family here watching me, surrounding me, it’s just amazing.
“All my immediate family were here, I think bringing anyone else would be too much!
“They were all here, supporting me, and I waved to them after the game.
“The team sheet was put up and I was starting, so it was a bit of a shock but I thought, ‘I’ve got to do a job’.
“There were a few butterflies but it was more just excitement.
“I played at Old Trafford in the Youth Cup final and I remember that feeling. It was amazing and to have it again was brilliant.”
