GERARD Pique has spoken about Shakira for the first time since they split.
It comes after the singer, 46, lip-synced the lyrics “I might kill my ex” as she appeared to take a swipe at her ex in a clip shared on Valentine’s Day.
Pique and Shakira announced their separation back last summer amid rumours the ex-Barca star had cheated.
The former footballer has remained tight-lipped about his famous ex, but in a new interview name-dropped her.
Tiktok star John Nellis questioned Pique over the best-known contact in his phone during the chat.
Pique replied: “I would say Shakira maybe, who was my partner.”

The 36-year-old then changed the subject away from Shakira, saying in terms of followers on Instagram it would be Cristiano Ronaldo.
Shakira on Tuesday shared a clip of her singing along to SZA’s hit song Kill Bill on TikTok as she appeared to take a shot at Pique and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia.
In the footage shared on TikTok, Shakira mops the floor as she mouths the lyrics: “I might kill my ex, not the best idea.
“His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here?”.

The video dropped just days after Pique referred to his younger lover Clara Chia as his girlfriend for the first time in public as he admitted she wears the trousers.
He also confessed he was a “puppet” of the 23-year-old Clara’s clothing choices during an on-air chat with Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos about their new football competition – the seven-aside King’s League.
Meanwhile, Shakira is said to be considering a tell-all interview.
The Colombian singer is reportedly willing to share her side of the story following the bombshell split with the ex-footie star after 12 years.
She targeted her ex-partner and his new girlfriend directly in her explosive diss track Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53.
Shakira sang: “I’m too big for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like you.”
In another verse of the song, she said: “I’m worth two 22-year-olds. You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo, you traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”
In response, Pique turned up for work in an £8,000 Renault Twingo.
He and Shakira have been involved in a bitter row over the custody of their sons Sasha, seven, and Milan, ten and their Barcelona mansion.
