THEO WALCOTT has said that Aaron Ramsdale will be “dancing on the bench” after David Raya’s shaky first half against Manchester City.
Raya looked nervous throughout the first half and made a costly error that led to a huge chance for Julian Alvarez.
Speaking at half-time on Raya’s performance, Theo Walcott said: “He’s not conceding which is a bonus.
“Hes been a bit edgy and nervy which could be the occasion, you sense the fans are getting on his back a bit.
“He’s very edgy right now, the stadiums not giving
him confidence.”
David Raya came in to the side for Arsenal’s trip to Goodison Park last month and has retained his place since.

Manager Mikel Arteta was initially reluctant to commit to either goalkeeper and implied he may rotate the two.
But he has since stuck by Raya, and the Spaniard now appears to be the clear first chocie.
His shaky start to today’s game comes after he made a costly mistake against Lens in the Champions League in mid-week.
Walcott’s fellow pundit, former City star Michah Richards said on Raya: “He’s meant to be composed but has got them in
trouble.

“He’s floundering. You give City these chances and he’s
going to get punished.”
Walcott then added: “Ramsdale is dancing on that bench right now.”
Since he’s been dropped, Ramsdale has only played one game for Arsenal, which came in the league cup against Brentford as part of a rotated side.
Ramsdale has been linked with a move away from The Emirates in January of he does not win his place in the side back.
Both Chelsea and Bayern Munich are looking to monitor the situation closely and could move for the England man.
Raya managed to finish the game much more strongly however, and managed to keep a clean sheet after a solid second half.
Arsenal beat City 1-0 in what is a huge step in the title race this year.
