Fans say ‘I’d have to dislocate my jaw to eat that’ as mega £8 burger at non-league side leaves supporters drooling

FEASTING footie fans reckon they’ve found the holy grail of half-time burgers – thanks to some non-League Saints.

One salivating supporter even feared he’d have to “dislocate my jaw” to devour sixth-tier St Albans’ sizzling £8 offering – labelled a “thing of beauty” and “truly fantastic” by fellow admirers.

A few fans felt this burger must be a whopper in more ways than one as they doubted it could be as big and tasty as it looked

And another disbelieving fan almost dismissed it as fake chews as he argued: “Can’t be real, it looks absolutely stunning.”

The part-time Saints are only mid-table in National League South.

But their bulging burger could take up all the table in any competition of football fare.

Bacon and salad cream strained at the sides, looking ready to explode out of what appeared to be at least a triple-decker treat.

The minnows’ mega meal in a carton labelled “Chicken or the people” certainly had fans drooling.

One responded to a picture of it on the FootyScran site by saying: “Probably have to dislocate my jaw to get that in but looks banging.”

“That looks absolutely fantastic!” said another, and a third observed: “Bro that burger looks LOADED”.

A fourth was even more desperate to get his teeth into it as he insisted: “I would pay anything for this burger! Looks yum!”

A fifth said: “That burger looks delicious, decent portion size and looks scrumptious, £8 is a bit on the pricey side but I’d be happy to pay that at a football match.”

But a pickier viewer wrote: “This looks decent, marking it down slightly because the bacon looks a bit overcooked – 7/10.”

Seven seems a bit mean – surely it deserved at least an ate!

The Hertfordshire club have impressed fans with their food
