FOOTBALL fans accused Jamie Carragher of going “full Gary Neville” with his commentary during Chelsea’s remarkable 4-4 draw with Manchester City.
Manchester United legend Neville, 48, has garnered a reputation for shrieking and squirming live on air, with social media often making fun of the noises.
He famously produced a lengthy moan when Fernando Torres scored for Chelsea against Barcelona 11 years ago.
But he was not working Sunday’s clash at Stamford Bridge as Liverpool icon Carragher accompanied Peter Drury in the commentary box.
And viewers caught the ex-Reds defender, 45, squealing in a similar manner.
Carragher made the sounds at various points during the game as Chelsea came from behind on two occasions – with Cole Palmer scoring a stoppage-time penalty against his former club.

One of the noises came at full-time when referee Anthony Taylor blew his whistle as Chelsea looked to counter-attack.
And a host of fans were quick to react on social media.
One said: “Carragher worse than Neville for groaning noises every single time anything whatsoever happens.. Sky need to have a word.”
Another added: “By the end of that game, Carragher was doing the Gary Neville thing where he gives up commentary and just makes noises.”
