Another exciting event during the game saw the fourth official run over to the far touchline in order to fix some equipment on the linesman’s arm.

Three Lions fans were also left fuming after captain Harry Kane was denied a “stonewall penalty”.

VAR is in operation at Wembley tonight but deemed the on-field decision of referee Luis Godinho to book Kane for diving to be correct.

Kane got on the scoresheet in the second half shortly before Channel 4 suffered a technical issue during their broadcast.

The match ended 2-0 England.
