According to Portuguese outlet Record The Blues have reportedly beaten off interest from French giants PSG and Italian champions AC Milan.

Moreira joined the Portuguese giants from Belgian outfit Standard Liege in August 2020 and was part of the U23 squad aged 17.

Since his arrival Moreira has gone on to establish himself in the Benfica youth ranks and has been part of the first team squad since the beginning of 2022.

The 18 year old was a key member of the Benfica side that won the Uefa Youth League in the 2021-2022 campaign.

One user tweeted: ” can we sort out a manager first”

A second said: ” Please tell me this is a joke?
