Atletico star Antoine Griezmann reveals he’s guiding ex-Premier League winners back to former glory on Football Manager


ANTOINE GRIEZMANN has revealed that he has been rebuilding former Premier League champions on Football Manager.

The Frenchman is starring for Atletico Madrid this season but knows how to spend his free time.

Griezmann, 32, has often shared his love of the football manager simulation game.

The forward has previously shared glimpses of his old saves with Arsenal and Newcastle.

He is now working on rebuilding Championship side Blackburn Rovers and taking them back to their former glory.

Blackburn are one of the seven teams to have won the Premier League.

Kenny Dalglish led the team to the league title in the 1994/95 season.

Griezmann is now on his way to adding to the club’s trophy cabinet.

When asked if he was playing the latest Football Manager game, he revealed his progress with the Lancashire outfit.

He said: “I’m in the First Division, in sixth place.

“The board are very happy. They want to renew my contract.”

He has admitted that one of his key signings has been a Liverpool defender but could not remember his name.

He added: “Ooft, a young right back who was at Liverpool.

“He’s Scottish, but I can’t remember the name!”

ESPN provided a picture of Calvin Ramsey as the player who joined Griezmann’s Blackburn.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Preston North End, however, his game time has been limited due to a knee injury.

Ramsay has played two times this season, with both ending in defeat.
