N’GOLO KANTE once apologised to a teammate for the birthday gift he bought.
But there was an adorable reason behind the Chelsea star’s “embarrassment.”
Kante, 32, is looking to reestablish himself as one of the world’s top midfielders after a lengthy injury spell.
The Frenchman has played just four times in the league this season — with each appearance coming under a different manager.

And Kante even turned up at the wedding of a fan’s daughter, congratulating the newlyweds before mingling with guests.

Former Caen teammate Felipe Saad has revealed how Kante turned up to his birthday party with a box of chocolates for a gift.
The midfielder was embarrassed with his choice of present and apologised profusely to Saad.
And Kante adorably explained he did not know what to buy as he had never been invited to a birthday party before.
Saad told UOL: “I called N’Golo Kante for my birthday, it was a small party.
“Suddenly he arrived at the restaurant with a box of chocolates, all embarrassed.
“He apologised for the gift and said he didn’t know what to get because he had never been invited to a birthday party before.”
