CHRIS EUBANK JR could launch an appeal after his defeat to Liam Smith over the victor’s alleged use of an elbow during the fight.
Eubank Jr was stopped in the fourth round of Saturday’s clash by his fierce rival.
However, his team reportedly believe Smith may have used an elbow during the first of Eubank Jr’s two knockdowns.
And they are now considering appealing to the British Boxing Board of Control.
Kalle Sauerland of Wasserman Boxing, told Sky Sports: “We are looking at it.”
Meanwhile, Eubank Jr’s trainer Roy Jones Jr wrote on Instagram after Eddie Hearn claimed the Brighton man has declined under his stewardship : “Avoid Roy Jones Jr as a trainer! Never mind this elbow…… Just avoid him.

“Damn, If I can take all that away from a fighter via training, no wonder I raised so much hell in my day!!”
In regards to a rematch, Sauerland added: “We obviously have that rematch clause, but we’ll let the dust settle.
“We’ve got a few weeks to activate that. We’ll take an internal discussion, see what the best way forward is for Jr and go from there.”
Before the fight even happened, Eubank Jr admitted he was concerned by the possibility of Smith involving an elbow.

He said on The Gloves Are Off: “I’m just saying, I like when I see guys doing the headbutting and the elbowing, because that means that they’re not true.
“And when the going gets tough they look for ways out, they look for ways that they’re not supposed to use.”
To which Smith answered back: “You’re reading that all wrong. I’ll do anything I can to beat you, anything. It’s a fight, it’s a called a fight.”
After the fight, Eubank Jr maintained he was still the better boxer.
He said: “I was dominating the fight and then I got caught. In my mind, I’m still the better fighter.
“Obviously I wouldn’t have much of an argument after a loss, but I have an argument to prove I’m the better fighter.
“He caught me with a once-in-a-lifetime shot. I feel like I was dominating the fight before that happened.
“Liam came at me again, threw a bunch more punches, I slipped and then the referee stopped it.”
