MIDDLEWEIGHT boxer Linus Udofia suffered a horrific eye injury during his defeat to Kieron Conway on Saturday.
The pair went head-to-head on the undercard of the WBA featherweight world title fight between Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington.
It was a close contest, but Conway took the win in the sixth round after referee Howard Foster stopped the fight due to an injury to Udofia.
The 30-year-old’s right eye was left completely swollen, so much so that he was unable to see anything.
Foster believed that it would not be safe enough for him to continue.
After the fight, Udofia took to social media to assure fans that he was okay.

Conway’s win now puts him in line for a shot at the British middleweight title, which is currently held by Denzel Bentley.
It will be his second time competing for the title, having first challenged in 2019.
