Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder warned there will be an ‘UPSET’ on the cards… which will wreck 2024 fight plan

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Deontay Wilder have been warned an upset is on the cards in Saudi Arabia – which would wreck their super-fight.

Behind the scenes, the pair of former world champions have agreed a deal to finally face off next year.

But, first, Joshua must beat Otto Wallin, while Wilder has to get past Joseph Parker on the same card in Saudi Arabia.

And Hall of Famer Frank Warren – who promotes Tyson Fury – believes a spanner could be thrown in the works come fight night.

Warren told talkSPORT: “Wallin and Parker are in these fights because they feel they’ve got a chance and they feel they can win and if they do win then they go on to bigger and better things next year.

“So, these are really going to be competitive fights, they certainly are on paper.

“And the rest of the card, a couple of them are really good quality fights, I feel like there must be an upset in there somewhere.”

Joshua, 34, and Wilder, 38, are being lined up for a March 9 showdown back in Saudi to at last settle their score.

So AJ knows anything but victory over Wallin could be potentially career ending.

Joshua admitted: “I’m looking to do a demolition job, 100 per cent. I am looking to do a good job. I will do a good job. I have purse focus on Saturday.

“That’s where my heart and soul, every cell in my body is fully focused toward Otto Wallin and doing what I know I can do.

“It’s not hard to stay focused, I made that commitment in my life to stay fully locked in.

“I will perform and do my job. I can definitely also window shop in my life, but I also have to say that this is the checkpoint and if I don’t get past this then there is no future.”
