WESLEY FOFANA and Youri Tielemans have been left out of Leicester’s starting line-up as they are “not in the right frame of mind” amid transfer interest.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed the reason for the duo’s absence ahead of the Foxes’ Premier League clash with Southampton on Saturday.
He told Sky Sports: “I mentioned in the week about coming into a Premier League game and maybe we have some players that just aren’t in the right frame of mind.”
Tielemans has been dropped to the bench and replaced with Harvey Barnes, while Fofana has been left out of the squad altogether.
Earlier this week, Rodgers hinted at dropping the two players for the Southampton match due to their dwindling interest.
In a press conference, he said: “If the players aren’t totally focused and committed to the club and being here, or for whatever reason just aren’t in the right mindset, that won’t help us.

“We have to ensure everyone is really focused in order for us to play the best game we can. I will always assess that after the sessions.”
Fofana is currently attempting to force a move away from the King Power Stadium amid transfer interest from Chelsea.
He has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Blues, but Thomas Tuchel and Todd Boehly are reluctant to meet Leicester’s colossal £85million asking price.
The Foxes have already rejected two offers from Chelsea, with the latest totalling around £70m.

But, Rodgers has already insisted that he is not for sale.
Meanwhile, Tielemans has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners are claimed to have been working on a deal for the past year, but an official bid has not yet been made.
The midfielder’s contract expires next June, so he could be sold for a cut-price fee of just £25m this summer.
