Watch fan hilariously faceplant attempting Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration after scoring penalty in warm-up

IT was a dream of two halves for a football fan dubbed “Wrongaldo”.

Score a penalty in the warm-up in front of a packed stand. Then celebrate ‘Siu’ style like Cristiano Ronaldo. Sadly for him, but happily for the crowd, it didn’t quite turn out right.

The first half went to plan – a calm run-up and a spot-kick sidefooted into the corner, almost Ronaldo-esque.

But after turning to celebrate it all unravelled – starting when he launched himself a mighty five or six inches off the ground to begin his Siu impersonation.

Up went the body and out went the arms as he spun round – but down went his head as he faceplanted the penalty area with greater velocity than a Ronaldo volley.

The crowd changed from gentle applause for his spot-kick to huge roars of approval for his prone position.

Armchair observers on Tiktok were just as amused – one calling him “Wrongaldo” and another saying “Emotional Damage”.

But some sympathetic fans imagined themselves in his shoes – with their own big chance to impress.

This post summed that up: “Every night when he closes his eyes this will play on repeat.”

And another said: “The peak of his life… destroyed.”

Unfortunately, the fan’s experience symbolises Ronaldo’s current state of play with Manchester United.

He was banished to the Under-21s after refusing to come on as a late sub in last Wednesday’s 2-0 win against Tottenham.

The unsettled Portugal legend, 37, is back in the first-team fold now.

But if he was hoping of a return to first club Sporting Lisbon, his home country giants have just revealed they can’t afford his wages.
