‘Remortgage the house’ – Fuming Arsenal fans slam ‘robbery’ after being charged £24 for sandwich meal deal at Emirates

FOOTBALL fans have ripped into Arsenal after a picture of their £24 sandwich meal deal went viral.

The Gunners are already renowned for their extortionate ticket prices – regularly charging the most of any Prem club.

Fans have now complained that even once they have splashed out on tickets, they will still be ripped off inside the ground.

Footy fan Nick Thorpe posted a picture of his steak sandwich and chips meal at the Emirates, asking the popular account Footy Scran for their opinion.

Footy Scran revealed the price of the meal deal to be £24, before asking their 466,500 followers: “Scran or no scran?”

One responded: “Looks good but £24 is daylight robbery. Price is definitely a factor in determining footy scran.”

A second joked: “Probably gotta remortgage your house to buy it tho.”

While a third reasonably commented: “A lot of the Arsenal food on here recently does look good but the prices are insane, even for London.”

Another added: “Overpriced and impossible to eat during a football game cannot be Scran.”

A Twitter user quipped: “If the drink is a bottle of wine then fair enough, otherwise I think you’ve been well and truly robbed there mate!”

The steak sandwich was purchased at the Royal Oak eatery situated within the bowels of Emirates Stadium.

On its own it costs £17, with the addition of chips setting punters back a further £4.50.

Shockingly, the cheapest drink is a bottle of water at £2.75 – taking the overall package to a staggering £24.25.

And Arsenal have form for complaints of this nature – as only last year Gunners fans fumed at being charged £18.05 for a burger and chips.
