Real Madrid see Eden Hazard transfer as a ‘FIASCO’ and would ‘gladly’ sell former Chelsea star in summer

EDEN HAZARD could be forced to make a move away from Madrid this summer, according to reports

According to the Spanish outlet AS, the former Chelsea star may have to leave Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer window if he wants to stand a chance of making Belgium’s squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Hazard joined the Spanish giants in July 2019 but has since failed to reach the high expectations of fans.

He has only registered one goal and two assists this season and has barely made an impact to the squad.

The 31-year-old has struggled to make the starting line-up ever since Vinicius Jr’s breakthrough and is out-of-favour with Carlo Ancelotti.

With the expected arrival of Kylian Mbappe in the summer, Hazard is expected to fall further down the pecking order if he does not act soon.

Real Madrid are reportedly happy to let him go in the summer, even though they will receive nowhere near the £130million they paid for him three years ago.

He has been linked to a number of clubs across England including Newcastle, Everton and West Ham.

The Hammers made a shock £21million bid for the winger in December, but it was immediately rejected by the Whites as they deemed it to be ‘offensive’.

Hazard has also been tipped to make a return to Chelsea.

However, if he does choose to leave Madrid he will have to take a big pay-cut.

He reportedly earns around £400,000 per week at the moment, but that figure will be considered far too high for most clubs that are interested.
