NOTTINGHAM FOREST are interested in signing Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga, according to reports.
The Prem new boys have already splashed out more than £130million on 16 signings this summer – but their spending isn’t over yet.
Tanganga, 23, is on their radar as they look to recruit cover for the injured Moussa Niakhate – himself a new arrival from Mainz.
Niakhate, 26, is set for months on the sidelines after suffering a thigh injury during the 1-0 victory over West Ham.
According to the Mail, Tanganga has emerged as a serious target to replace Niakhate.
They claim that Spurs are demanding £17m for their homegrown defender.

Tanganga hasn’t featured in a competitive match since January after suffering a knee injury.
He returned to action during pre-season, and has been an unused substitute for matches against Chelsea and Wolves.
The Mail add that a move to Forest is unlikely unless Tottenham drop their asking price.
Tanganga has also received strong interest from AC Milan.

Spurs are reportedly in talks with the Italian champions, who are keen to team Tanganga up with England international Fikayo Tomori at the back.
According to Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo, Milan are Tanganga’s first-choice destination.
Forest have also shown an interest in Tottenham full-back Sergio Reguilon.
But the out-of-favour Spanish international is not believed to be keen on a switch to the City Ground.
