MANCHESTER United fans are burning Mason Greenwoods shirt and try to flog the striker’s memorabilia online after he was released on bail.
Greenwood, 20, was first arrested on suspicion of rape and GBH on Sunday after the allegations came to light.
He spent three nights being quizzed by police after he was re-arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
But fans have been trying to shift their shirts after the allegations came to lights when his accuser posted a series of photos and audio on social media.
Some United fans have been lighting their £65 shirts to destroy them, while others have even tried to scrape the name and numbers off.
Footage shows one fan using an aerosol to burn the away shirt on a washing line, while others set fire to it on a bonfire.
The videos come after the club confirmed that any fans wanting to exchange their shirts with Greenwood’s name on would be able to do so for free.
A footy-man United fan forked out £135 on a full kit for his son, with Greenwood’s name on, and had contacted the club to ask for the change after buying it at the beginning of the season.

United confirmed that fans could get a new shirt with no name on or a replacement one with another players name on in light of the allegations.
Collectors who have shelled out a fortune for rare memorabilia are also trying to flog their goods on eBay.
Those with ultra-rare football cards have listed merchandise featuring the rape rap-haunted Manchester United star for up to £1,999.
Many are the scarce Panini Chronicles cards that change hands for thousands of pounds.
But of the dozens of listings, none had attracted bids as collectors wait to see if the police bring charges against the England striker.
A Panini Chronicles card was number 14 from 25 from 2019 and had the player as a “rated rookie”. It was said to be in mint condition and offered for sale in a protective case.
One trader was offering a boot signed by the player for £345, and an autographed shirt was up for sale for £499.
Buyers are told: “A hand signed mounted Manchester United FC Football boot of Mason Greenwood. Frame size 50x40cm
“Frame comes in a solid wood box frame. Item comes with a certificate of authenticity.”
All his merchandise has been dropped from the official United site in the wake of the allegations.
Greenwood was also removed from Manchester United’s squad on FIFA 22 following claims made against him.
Greenwood’s alleged rape victim last night broke her silence and thanked everyone for their “support” after he was released on bail.
The student, 18, revealed that the past week has been “difficult” for her and she will not be making any more statements pending the police investigation.
Greenwood was released on bail pending further investigation on Wednesday, but the star has not been seen since.
He appears to have toughened up security at his luxury mansion in Bowdon, Greater Manchester, after being released on bail.
Two security guards were seen standing watch outside the home and an expert was also pictured arriving to install a £350 home security system.
Greenwood was suspended indefinitely from the club hours after the allegations surfaced on social media.
It comes as Greenwood’s teammates returned to training after the winter break minus the No11.
Several of his teammates have also unfollowed the star on social media after the images came to light.
The £75,000-a-week footballer was taken into custody on Sunday after police swooped on his home.
Security staff, thought to have been provided by United, were present at a second home he owns nearby and they confirmed that his parents were inside.
In a statement, Manchester United said: “Manchester United reiterates its strong condemnation of violence of any kind.
“As previously communicated, Mason Greenwood will not train with, or play for, the club until further notice.”
A source confirmed Greenwood will still receive his wages while on suspension.
But his sponsor Nike said they were “deeply concerned” and have suspended his deal.
The club’s official partner Cadbury said Greenwood won’t appear on any of their marketing products.
Sponsor TeamViewer also announced that they are “closely monitoring developments”.
