SCOTT CARSON was given the nod over Ederson in Man City team-mate Ruben Dias’ dream five-a-side team.
And surprisingly, there was no room for City’s talisman Kevin De Bruyne in Dias’ side either.
Ederson has become a staple in Pep Guardiola’s Premier League conquering City side over the years.
The Brazilian stopper was even rewarded with a contract extension by City last summer along with Dias after he helped the club reclaim the title with 19 clean sheets.
Ederson was also awarded with Prem’s golden glove for the second time for his heroics in City’s title-winning season last year.
But Ederson’s outstanding form and accolades still weren’t enough for Dias to include him in his main five ahead of City’s forgotten man Carson.
In contrast, Carson has only played ONE game in over TEN YEARS at the Etihad.
However, Dias is confident that the 36-year-old can dust off the cobwebs and lead his make-shift side to victory as he’s a ‘champion’ in a five-a-side setting.

When asked by Record why he chose Carson over Ederson, Dias said: “Ede’s in my heart, but I’ll go with Scott. I will go with Scott Carson.
“He’s the champion of five-a-sides, when you’re in his team, you win.”
Another key component in City’s line-up is De Bruyne who has hit the net six times and provided two assists this season.
But there was no mention of the bustling Belgian in Dias’ line-up.
Instead, the Portuguese defender chose Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan to shore up the midfield department.
And Dias picked fellow countryman João Cancelo to marshal the defensive line with him.
Speaking on his team selection, Dias added: “I will choose Bernando Silva, he’s a good name for the five-a-side.
He’s very versatile, and normally when I’m with him in the little games, we win. So it’s a good combo.
“I need to get with my fellow companion Joao Cancelo, because anything can happen with that right and left-foot, so very good to have on a short game like a five-a-side. He can score from everywhere.
And I guess, I’ll join Gundo, (Ilkay) Gundogan. He has a little good taste in football.”
