Both sides put in a better performance than the ones they displayed in the Africa Cup of Nations.

But only one West African side can go through in this contest and both countries will be desperate to be on that flight to Qatar come November.

As for Nigeria, Wilfried Ndidi and Maduka Okoya will need to both be assessed after they were ruled out of the encounter in Ghana.

And Alex Iwobi surprisingly didn’t make the cut so the Everton attacker will not be involved either.
