FOOTBALL great Tony Adams reckons he might make a go of it on Strictly — if he can overcome his fear of the ballroom.
Former England skipper Tony, 55 — known as The Donkey because of his inelegant style — says stepping out on to the floor is more scary than on to the pitch.
The ex-Arsenal defencer said: “I ain’t got a clue how to dance, so I’m making myself very vulnerable.
“It feels like the first day of school but you can do anything if you try.
“My former teammates do think I’m off my rocker for doing Strictly but they admire me for having the balls to give it a go.”
Asked if he has danced in nightclubs, he replies: “Yeah baby, I’ve got it.”

After a pause, he adds: “When I was rehearsing with my partner recently, I did one move and they said, ‘Whatever that was, I don’t want to see it again’.”
Tony who quit booze and drugs 26 years ago, adds: “I’m proving that once you’re free of addiction you can put yourself out there and do things like Strictly.”
