BURNLEY’S Premier League clash with Watford on Tuesday has been postponed as the Clarets don’t have enough players.
Sean Dyche’s side made the request on Monday after a combination of Covid, Afcon and injuries left them with fewer than 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper available.
Burnley’s home game against Leicester on Saturday was also called off.
And now, their relegation six-pointer against Watford at Turf Moor – which had already been rearranged once after being called off in December – will have to rescheduled again.
A club statement said: “The Premier League fixture between Burnley and Watford at Turf Moor will now be arranged for a future date, with all previously purchased tickets for the game to remain valid.
“The club sends their apologies to both sets of supporters for the inconvenience this may have caused and a new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.”
Burnley only named seven players on the bench for their last game, an FA Cup defeat by Huddersfield Town – four of whom were academy players.
And Chris Wood, who started that match, has since moved to Newcastle in a £25million deal – leaving Sean Dyche short of attacking options.

Manager Dyche revealed in his press conference that he only had ten regular players in training.
He said: “So far at training today there were ten recognised first-team players. So that’s where we’re at today.”
Arsenal’s trip to North London rivals Tottenham was also axed after having application to postpone the derby accepted.
The Gunners requested the game be called off due to “COVID-19, existing and recent injuries, in addition to players away with their countries at Afcon”.
There was thought to be only a few Covid cases in the Mikel Arteta’s squad.
However, injuries, the loaning out of Folarin Balogun and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Granit Xhaka’s red card left them desperately short of players.
