TV host Tucker Carlson was left nervously laughing after Mike Tyson told him he “wanted to kill” his opponents.
The boxing legend was interviewed by the American and left him feeling a bit uncomfortable when he spoke about his fierce mentality before fights.
Tyson told Carlson on Fox News “I wanted to kill them” when speaking about his opposition in the ring.
The host responded with a nervous chuckle and replied: “Well, I can tell.”
While trying to compose himself, Tucker admitted he was “laughing nervously”, before asking the former undisputed world heavyweight champion if he “really felt that way?”
Tyson was quite clear in his answer as he simply said “yeah”, Carlson then tried again and asked the former boxer how he came to that mindset.

The 56-year-old then gave an explanation in which he admitted that he did not want to go back to living in poverty.
He said: “Just think about who I am. I don’t want to go back there any more.
“I don’t want to be in that poverty state of mind anymore.
“Not from a physical perspective, I don’t want to be poverty-stricken here [pointing to his own head].

“The more you hurt them, the higher you go in life. That’s just my mentality, the more you hurt them, the more people love you.”
The response seemed to do little to Carlson who sheepishly replied: “That’s pretty intense and true, I guess.”
