Jake Paul teases Canelo Alvarez will have to fight him NEXT if Mexican superstar loses Gennady Golovkin trilogy

JAKE PAUL teased that Canelo Alvarez will have to fight him NEXT if he loses his trilogy bout against Gennady Golovkin.

Canelo renews his rivalry with Golovkin over the weekend in Las Vegas but does so having lost to Dmitry Bivol in May.

And despite Paul backing the Mexican to get back to winning ways against his arch rival, he warned of the consequences of another defeat.

He told FightHype: “I think it’s a great fight and I’m excited.

“I think that Canelo will win just because of the chip on his shoulder coming off of the loss. Canelo’s not going to lose two in a row.

“But if he does? F***, I don’t know. Maybe he’ll go straight into the Jake Paul fight after that.

“But I think that Golovkin just hasn’t been competing at the same level of opposition and because of that I’m thinking Canelo will win.”

Canelo, 32, controversially walked away with a draw against Golovkin, 40, in 2017 but won their razor tight rematch a year later.

And after they complete their trilogy, he wants another crack at Bivol, 31, as the boxing superstar eyes revenge over the Russian.

For Paul, he returns on October 29 against UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, who also has a 4-1 boxing record.

The YouTuber-turned prizefighter has named Canelo among his dream opponents, despite their vast skill and experience disparity.

Silva will be Paul’s first opponent with a prior professional boxing record.

He was made to wait after Tommy Fury, 23, and Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, were withdrawn from prior bouts against the American influencer.
